Michelle Robertson, LPC

It’s a privilege to walk alongside individuals and couples as they seek greater clarity, healing, and direction in life. You might be here because you’ve noticed certain patterns in your emotions, behaviors, or relationships that just don’t align with who you want to be—or how you want to live. Maybe you can’t pinpoint exactly what’s off, but something deep inside is nudging you toward change.

Often, we resist change because even when things aren’t working, they’re familiar—and stepping into the unknown can feel overwhelming. Or maybe past experiences or regrets have left you feeling stuck in shame, unsure if real growth is possible. I believe it is.

Whether you're ready to take the first step or still trying to figure out where to begin, I’d be honored to help you explore what meaningful change could look like, support you in the process, and walk with you as you rediscover hope.

My approach to counseling is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience. I incorporate EMDR therapy using the AIP model, along with techniques from motivational interviewing and strength-based, solution-focused, and emotion-focused frameworks. Rather than labeling concerns as "disorders," I often view them as natural responses to how your nervous system processed difficult or confusing past events. Sometimes, those interpretations can be distorted — and that's where healing begins. I believe that exploring your story with care and intention can lead to meaningful growth. I also bring personal insight from my own journey through addiction and recovery, and when welcomed, I offer Christian-based counseling that integrates biblical wisdom into the therapeutic process.
