Melinda Daugherty, LPC
It takes incredible bravery and courage to take the first step into counseling. Therefore, my passion lies in creating a welcoming and supportive space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and empowered to embrace meaningful change and growth. With my clinical experience, I am well-equipped to address a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, life transitions, and identity issues. My experience as a half Filipino and American woman provides me a unique perspective on the journey of discovering one's identity and values. It would be an honor to come alongside you during your journey of self-exploration, healing, and growth.
About Me: As a person-centered therapist, my passion lies in creating a welcoming and supportive space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and empowered to embrace meaningful change and growth. With six years of experience across various modalities and working with individuals of different ages, I am well-equipped to address a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, sexual abuse, and life transitions. I utilize an eclectic approach and consider the whole person including CBT, mindfulness, and ACT.
In addition to my experience, I specialize in multicultural and faith-based modalities. As a half Filipino and American woman, I have a unique perspective on the journey of discovering one's identity, especially within the context of growing up mixed race. This personal insight allows me to connect with and support you in a deeply empathetic way. Together, we can work towards a fulfilling and balanced life that honors your individuality and personal aspirations. It would be a privilege to come alongside you during this time of self-exploration and growth.
